The Vancouver, Klickitat and Yakima Railroad was completed in 1903. Although the goal was to have tracks from Vancouver to Yakima, they never made it much past Yacolt. For years, after about 1960, no train ran on the tracks. Now a tourist train runs on weekends. Battleground, Chelatchie & Yacolt Railroad Line
